1st April: Waterstone's Local Author Evening.
Waterstone's in Wigan. Chairman from Towpath Press gave a talk about how it got started. Then three members each gave a five minute talk about their writing and read extracts from their books.

Author Janice Clayton, won a 'Jo Cowell Award' after entering a short story competition in Owls: Ormskirk Writers' and Literary Society.
Towpath Community Press in 2007 had a competition for schools. The pupils from Leigh Central Primary School, Windermere Road, Leigh, came 1st.
Towpath published their book Friends and Neighbours. There will be a Parents' Evening at the school and their book 'Friends and Neighbours' will be on sale.
Towpath C. Press are having a Writers' Workshop at The Queens Hall, Market St. Wigan, on Friday March 28th from 10 a.m until 4 p.m. Pens, pads and bookmarks will be given - to mark the occasion.
